I had a lot of problems last time when Horizon Linear Fade Attitude appeared in our flat. First of all it was a bit different than FSR Spec so was noticed quite clearly. Second, it was pink what caused immediate love with it till the first ride when it appeard it was rigid and rather not very comfortable.
I can hear that we (OK, I) have too many bikes quite often. Why??? We also have many spoons, forks (Manitous mainly), plates, bowls etc. Why are bikes treated differently?

my mrs hasnt got a key to the shed, is unaware of the contents of a lock up (including the vw beetle lurking in there) parcels to work, funded by paypal etc.

we should write a book "getting away with it"

Advices should have free spaces to fill the names of things you are hiding depending on a hobby + big one book for car collectors.

Pre kids, life was sweet (in a different way, cos its obviously sweeter now, with kids, if you know what I mean) because Mrs Beds was a racer too, so she always wanted the latest & greatest of all the new stuff.

Since the girls were born, she has dropped away from racing (although she still rides a lot) but at least she still understands that as a racer I MUST HAVE the best of everything. Whilst she may understand this, she doesnt necessarily agree, and thats the end of any arguments

At least with retro stuff, it wont cost quite as much (hopefully), and Ive found that if I get goods delivered to my work address, she never needs to know

i'm single. i have a manitou frame on the kitchen draining board, a bottom bracket and a freehub on the living room windowsill..... it goes on

I also have problems with kitchen - one frame and four rims. Good solution is to adopt bike parts for kitchen ware - we have DIA-COMPE rotor as a hot plate. It is also good to make shakers out of hubs - like CK does.

Life is not too bad, coz she cycles as well, but has no idea what things cost...which is well useful...but she must never discover the true cost of anything!
So i am always the helpful soul to justnip down the bike shop...more often than not for something for my bike and she gets the older version off my bike...and as it is generally in a1 condition , has absolutely no idea!!
GT Tequesta in the kids room, GT Racer in the hall way, GT Timberline (hers!) outside, '99Mount vision pro ...Specialised stumpjumper(hers!!)...and my TT bike...all in the spare room....along with ice axes (hers and mine!!) tents, snow boards, skis, body boards, climbing gear, roller blades...........................have a mortgage..?? Nope......have a pension..?? Nope..........have a lot of fun..?? YEAH! Tho i am 48 next year, have a 4 year old daughter so absolutely must not grow up yet !
