Applying decals

Now got 2 builds ready for decals - 94 Kilauea and 95 E3.

Got all the decals I need, but why am I so nervous about applying them?
I'm just so cack-handed and don't want to ruin these two labours of love!

Anyone got any failsafe top tips so I get it right?

I dunno mate, just take your time. You could maybe draw pencil lines with a ruler to help you align the decals. The once they are on the pencil lines should wash off easily.

I mark the area with masking tape to have about a 5mm gap all around the decal. Once I am happy with the position I just position the decal in the middle of the marked out area :D

I apply one side of the frame first and then put tape rings around the tubes to position the other side :D

+1 for taking your time and using masking tape and pencil marks to get accurate placement - remember measure twice, fit once. :)

wiping down the frame with solvent will help key the decal

+1 for soft pencil marks and masking tape. Use a straight edge that is the length of the frame tube to make sure they're ultra straight.

Ok - good advice above - now... what about getting scratched-on-stuck-on-hardly-anything-left-to-attack, decals OFF??!
