1995 Kona Kilauea

That looks very nice, I keep looking at older Kona bikes... I fear it will not be long at all before I own one. I think that frame looks real nice in white

I always prefer original paint. However if I was going to paint this kilauea I'd get frame/forks and stem in a matching colour.

Like the 92 kilauea that stood out because the frame AND forks were navy blue.

I saw a Caldera that was nice and very cheap but sadly like most bikes I'd like it was just too far away with no postage. My LBS also had one of the older deluxe models in but they wanted £800 for it. If I see one that is right for me then I'll buy it for sure.

If the paint condition is good, it makes more sense to sell it and get another one in poor condition to repaint!

Touch up paint has just arrived to tidy up the frame

Replacement saddle has just this second been delivered i'll need to tidy up the rails but compared to the original which has a massive rip it's not to bad.

There are some impressive saddle repair threads here on retrobike, but I think its a diy job due to the time and patience required

Think I’d spray the forks and stem. The frame is a special colour and the stem/fork across the range. Lovely bike though as is!
