I wouldn't bother with them, just get Shimano Deore/SLX/XT depending on budget as you won't get better for the money.
Mate had some Formula's but changed them for XT's.

Only ridden home from the lbs so far so not much to report.
Taking it over to FOD tomorrow for a first 'blast'.
Certainly seems nice though, not light but the widest, slackest, plushest and high volume tyred bike I've ever had.
Very modern by my standards...

I think I was vaugely aware of your thread?
Didn't you get a pretty good deal in the end?
It's all about patiance eh?
The right deal will usually come along if you don't mind waiting and searching for long enough!
I was keen to get on with it so prob paid a bit over but not horrically!
That said the condition is very good and I couldn't be happier with the end result.
I'd been stock piling parts for a XT/Thomson/Syncros RSP build when I realised I'd overshot on quality so I used that as an excuse up-grade my modern bike to a five.
Just need to get the for lowers sprayed orange then it's done but that can wait to the new year.
