Anyone good with DH? (DownHill)

 It's not quite the same.. And i don't see the logic in softail..

Why would you intentionally let your frame bend...

It doesnt bend it flexes

bring me one of your zaskars and I will cut a bit out of the seat stays and show you how it works :p

why 12" ? do you have a set of super monster t's or something ?

theres loads of 8"+ frames out there , you just need to know what your looking for ;)

i'm rebuilding a german grossman dh rig and that has a 240mm i-2-i shock with 10" travel

Big.eck what are you upto i wonder!? buz me if you like, ive been riding/racing DH for 15+ years :) Sold a few Nicolai's too ! ;)

my scribblings as a youth were
" has anyone produced a linked suspension system for a bike? - akin to hydrolastic systems - isigonis minis, austin maxis, citreaons etc? where as the front wheel goes up the back wheel goes down. my thinking was that you would get around the pedals bottoming out and have a really long travel system. also what about a plunger style back end - as you would have no pivots. if it was off vertical you could also have a wheel movement that could travel slightly backwards aswell as up and might ride well?"
But then i got a proflex and forgot all about it until today. Completely irrelevant but thanks for bringing those memories flooding back of when my days were spend dreaming. :D and everything was still achievable. Really hope you can sort what ever your doing!

There was a guy who had an outrageous travel bike and just used to huck off massive drops. Think he was championed and ridiculed in equal parts.
