ANY TIPS TO STOP BUYING MORE FRAMES OR BIKES.

Yes yes. Echoing my feelings there. Adapt and enjoy is the way to be. I also have about ten bikes, think that's about the right number to have a bunch in regular use, and a couple for projects when time and weather allow. Works for me.

10-12 seems a workable number. Have 12 built working bikes(6 Retro, 6 modern) And 4 projects, and 1 bike I need to sell... still doesn’t leave much room in the Inn

Probably best not to have too big an inn, that makes it easy to keep the numbers down. I don't like having unstarted projects hanging.around for years, that gets me down- I lose momentum. If I buy a frame, then it's out of the box and out with the T-Cut then the tools right off.. Couldn't do it any other way.

My only advice would be to get involved in modern day XC Racing... My last XC Race Hardtail rig was in the region of RRP £4500 when you've got a couple of those plus the £7k road bike when you fork out £300 for a 1990's kona from eBay she thinks...well at least its not as costly as your last set of wheels :)

probably have about 10 bikes in total

That advice is akin to telling someone with a mild alcohol problem to try crack cocaine instead.
As I said earlier on this thread, some people like to fix things, and some like to spend. Happiness is a warm (grease) gun as far as I'm concerned.
