No I fecking couldn't because pictures hide a thousand lies.
Very few make an honest description listing everything, they know that would hurt the price and rely on peoples optimism.
Sometimes, you do truly get people who put in a lot of effort, and take close up pictures so you can really see the condition of something - but in many cases, it's a slightly blurry, distance shot, yet with comments saying something is "mint".
Some people always seem to fall back on that old chestnut "caveat emptor" which just shows a certain degree of old mindset and detachment from the current reality - because as you've mentioned, if you've paid by paypal, you're probably in a strong position to get a favourable resolution - all the same, though, it can be a tedious and time consuming waste of time, if greater accuracy and detail had been available at the outset.
