Angry pedestrian who scared cyclist riding

It is a sad situation - the lady who was convicted obviously has issues - and the lady who was killed seems to have done nothing wrong .
There’s no winner here.
The article in the Spectator is pretty damn shocking too - economic with the truth of the path being shared - shameful

This is local to me, and I had a good look at the weekend and all the shared cycle path signs are on the other side of the road

But... Its the huntingdon ring road which may as well be a race track so any one on a bicycle would be using the path anyway

Most of the paths are shared use and very narrow though but where this happened is actually quite wide and more than enough room.

Yes, but he was also indignant at my post. It seems stating a simple fact - it was suspected, was looked into and was unproven to an evidential standard - is enough to identify closet Mail readers!

As someone who has mental health issues and is at times both a cyclist and a pedestrian (not a motorist), I see the problem as very complex.

When I am cycling on shared pathways I do my best to accommodate pedestrians, I have a bell and slow my speed, but some pedestrians are totally oblivious to the outside world using mobile phones and wearing headphones blaring out music, so however much I shout and ring my bell they take no notice.

On the other hand as a pedestrian myself and suffering from severe anxiety, I find it very intimidating when out of nowhere a cyclist comes blasting past me from behind or seems to be aiming for me to move from in front, have also had it where a cyclist nearly ran into me while using a mobile and headphones.

I am not saying the woman in the article was right, in fact I think she was very wrong, but pavements have become very scary places for cyclists and pedestrians alike.

dyna-ti added the other it in from tintins post

I agree - he did - but in a way that suggested that Chopper said "I think she did push her" when he didn't.
If I added something that someone else said to your quote here, to which folk might take umbrage, that you didn't say, it would be incorrect and misleading.

Sorry chap, ive removed that from my quote. I read it, but I didnt read it properly.

I apologize and can only say I'm reading too many who have decided she was violently pushed off her bike into traffic.
