Re:

18 miles can feel an awful long way uphill into a headwind with lashing rain and no waterproof breeks

Re:

Shortened a brake hose, dropped (and lost) the new olive, knocked the lever, pished the oil out all over the floor, wind knocked over the open bottle of spare oil, threw bike in shed, went and got a beer, felt better :)

Re:

Just in from a wee 20 miler around ma "hood" conditions not to bad, did a bit of trail clearing thanks to my Bahco, bumped into what I'd bet was a couple of Mucky Riders judging by the way they blanked me (ass holes) spotted 'more' Tubby tyre tracks. BTW I'm no bondin with my Rubber Queens their super critical about tyre pressure, and I 'think' they squirm a bit if the rims a bit narrow, 2.2 on a X317. Finished off the ride with a Mr Whippy, yummy :D

Did a fair bit of sawing myself, quite a few trees down on the local trails. I particularly enjoyed hosing the dug shite of my trousers when I get home. Braw.

enjoyed my wee bimble in the cold this morn, visited my Belgium mate this avo and collected my bier consignment from his recent trip home, watched the cyclocross worlds in his strange language and took the bairn for a swim... a infinitely better sounding day than some :-)
