And today I did......

Re:

I've always thought the Scandal was a frame much better than its price. It's the lightest 29er frame I've weighed (non carbon) and it's got good handling and feel.

If it had sliding dropouts or an EBB I'd still be using it.

You can get some singlespeed dropouts, or at least you could. I agree with the much better frame than the price suggests, I'd say On Ones finest IMO, and I've been considering a load of permutations to keep it including a epicyclo roadster type commuter/winter bike. Unfortunately reality prevails and something needs to give.

Evening, how large are you darling? If you're serious about selling? Thanks.

Serious about selling and I'm 5'10. I can do frame and fork plus extras or full bike as it stands.

Thanks for getting back to me but just agreed on something else in 29 and steel and XL last night..........

a nice build that scandal, a great value build

currently got fingers in two pies, ooh er :-) much excitement, will hopefully progress tomorrow

Today - well last night I pulled the UN52 out of the Zaskar and went to replace with an M952 (with matching 5 arm crank)

Got the bleeder out with relative ease, oiled and chased the threads with the new BB cups and fired them in, went to fit the crank and some tw@t has tried to use a non Octalink Mk2 BB before and cabbaged the splines so they cant be tightened...

Annoyed is not the words.

So annoyed in fact that I accidentaly agreed to buy an M960 XTR Exteranal set up (for not too many pennies) but not sure I can bring myself to fit it to a 96 Zaskar

Thoughts?

Re:

Zaskars are burly, external BB's look burly even if not so it'll just make the Zaskar look even more up to the task. Upshot, fit it, ride into ground and replace at a much later date. Are you going to ride the bike or put it in a glass case and admire it ?

Just in from work and there it is ANOTHER invite from Edinburgh R.I. for Sunday 10th January short notice or what? :x Fcuk!

Go, if you can, then it'll all be over and you can start moving your life properly forward again, in rude health.

And in the meantime, one of the McRetro clan, or maybe even two, can feed you grapes as you recover....

Or maybe not

Made a lightsaber for the 20 month old as she was getting jealous she didn't have one.
