And today I did......

Cotic got another rebuild today. Back to 140 forks but wider bars, lighter wheels and tyres and a new 1x10 set up with a 11/36 cassette. Also reverted to Formula brakes instead of the Hopes. Looking forward to having a good run on thursday night.

Decided to make a start on looking for a pre 65 trials bike this week. Something i've been thinking about for a while. There is an event on at a local farm at the weekend so i'm going up for a sniff round. I'm getting too unfit for tgis peddling lark.

My conversion part has arrived and i have to pay £21 to pick it up[custom handling+VAT charges]
Makes a total of £75 :(

Not a lot cheaper than an entire CK headset

Fookin Joke :x

Ooh! What's taking your fancy? A Greeves perhaps?

I have a mid 60's Greeves Scottish with a Villiers engine somewhere in boxes on the farm that i bought about ten years ago fof the numberplate, but it needs a full rebuild and i dont really have the time at the moment.
Not a lot of choice around at the moment but would like to find a decent user- not mint, but something well screwed together and reliable. I really want to do the Scottish Six Day next year.

One for Kaiser

I decided to do the right thing and send some business the way of my LBS instead of buying online.

Did some pricing up and have decided to buy online.

Yes that happens a fair bit for me - sometimes it works but more rarely now.
The biggest issue I have is they can order it in for a couple of quid more but it takes up to a fortnight, if they had it in stock I probably would have paid more and taken it but it is quicker and cheaper with CRC etc.
Unfortunately it becomes a downward spiral where they stock less and less.

I probably would have bought ultraMiniKen's bike from there if they had it in stock to try - but with out it there to try out I was not willing to risk it being too big.

Today I became a Grandad ;)

Pause to hear a chorus of replies "your to young looking to be a Grandad Rob"

Congratulations mate.

My brother became a grandad for the the first time last year, it's completely changed him. He seems to be an outstanding grandad despite having been an uninterested parent. very odd.
