The old Reliant! My dad had two whilst I was a kid. A decrepit early supervan followed by a "sportier" 850cc Rialto van. I can remember getting lifts to school in the latter during winter; pressing frozen legs against the carpeted engine wall to defrost.

Couple of years ago I owned your Reliants "big brother": a '78 Scimitar (white with a green stripe - looked a bit like a pacer).

Known as a hot one...

Not for it's legendary performance but for it's terrible cooling system which was largely obscured by the spare wheel. :?
