Brilliant work on the bike Eck

However one cardinal sin cannot be forgiven, you dont put bar ends on riser bars

Go stand in the corner you bad person

think thats a sin ? should of heard me trying to get the hub apart to grind 20mm off it       (it was a 150mm hub yesterday)

Looking great Alex, but bar ends on risers can only mean one thing

Today my bank account has been hemorrhageing money on cars :x , £260 for tyres for the Polo, £40 for fitting the tyres, £210 for the axle for the Escort, that money would have got the DH8 pretty much built up and riding :(

On top of that not happy with the job the guy done on the axle for the money he charged :x

Whew! I had bar ends on risers on my Kona, but this is no longer the case after musical bars today.

I got a set of Bombers (2001 Z5, £37 delivered) off eBay (which I promptly nearly b*ggered by undoing an innocent looking v-brake boss) and have fitted them to the Kona, raising it to flat bar level. This now allows my hydraulic disc brakes to be fitted, but the reservoirs are in just the wrong place for optimum thumbie position, bah.

So the risers have made it onto the folder, which was a bit low, and will not get bar ends in the interests of compactness.

Meanwhile, the bars on my Tufftrax came off as well, as I had to change the stem back to its old careworn one from the shiny newer one, for the shiny newer one has just looked WRONG and has now bugged me for months.

I'm much happier now- why did I stray from the path of oldness?

Off out now for a drink in Kirkwall. Steel toed boots now on.

if i had flat bars i'd fit then to save me sitting in the corner , but i don't

i have fitted a 130mm 0 deg nuke proof stem to the progear (thats a first for me) steerings a wee bit slower but i can live with it
