And today I did......

Looking at the wedge of A4s I was handed it looks like it was " sell more because we're not selling as much as the larger stores in the area "

So pretty much what I was expecting anyway . When we have another I'll go on the offensive with a list of demands

Everyone thought it was very funny that I wandered in at the very end .

"there's a recession on and the word is full of idiots "

is a good thing to quote at this sort of meeting

had you been there

thought i'd do some pics of the twin front hydro disc :D

Today i got head butted in the face by a sheep, but I got the last laugh with a captive bolt gun :?

In my beffudled state I signed up as a solo rider for No Fuss's 10@K'tree under the name of VeloMacRetro, Stephen Smith is too dull and common a name.

Later I shall be guddling around in cows stomachs, its all go in the glamorous world of Velo

At this rate Velo we'll be at Relentless in September...........

Hopefully I've just nabbed my SS bike for Strathpuffer Lite, a Trek Y3 URT frame for £37 posted, it looks big enough although no measurements were given. At the very least it can be wall art as it and its cousins were my dream steeds of distant yesteryear :D

Nothing special, its either a medium or a Large, I hope the latter, possibly a 1999 in inkwell blue. Y3's and Y5's were down market versions of the earlier carbon framed models. As is known, I like URT designs and Trek more or less invented the mass market Y-Framed bike so i hoped to nab one one day. URT frames are good for single speeding though not necceserily good performers but then neither am I

Just done some further reading on the Y series Treks, read lots of rider reveiws. General consensus is good for XC not more extreme stuff, liked by all who've got used to them, disliked by those who've never rode them or who had a brief go of a mates. You need to ride them for a bit to get used to their foibles and setting up your suspension well can cure any of the well documented alledged faults. I looking forward to getting this built up, hope I can get a good enough shock :D
