Cheers Jamie, not got a retro bike now but the legs are retro at least. Hope to meet up at some point if my halfords bike will be tolerated

Don't be silly Gaz - nobody actually rides anymore... we talk about it then cancel a couple of days before.....

Ran oot of petrol (no fuel gauge see) in the LR when mularkying around this evening - fortunately had the foresight to bung a full 2 gallon can in the back :xmas-big-grin:

Also have taken all bicycles, apart from Bianchi and Kuota frameset (ah yes - remember that?) from house and stored them in garage

Re:

30-something miles on the singlespeed, with just over 2000ft of ascent.

I'm doing the Methlick Cycle Challenge next Sunday, 73 miles mostly off-road, Yikes!

Realised most of my rides are 10-15miles long although quite hilly, bit late in the day now for any "training" as such, so will just have to get on with it next weekend

Re:

Keith and I went for a ride to top of Bishop Hill then along to Glen Vale, out to reservoirs then back to Leslie.
Twas a bit damp up there today. They've made a right arse of the path, the part they've done going down to reservoirs from Glen Vale is mostly surfaced with soft sand that just doesn't bind together. As we descended off Bishop to Glen Vale the path up to John Knox's Pulpit from the west sticks out like a sore thumb, very light coloured sand, the same as the path to east. Jeez, I think ye could see it fae space.
