Naw, when you were a lad, the Industrial Revolution had yet to start.

Re:

Y bike?

With this and the Heckler owners club meeting and I going to be the only one fully rigid?

Re:

Yup its a Trek 9000 series, a 9500 to be precise though with more modern elastomer forks and will be fitted with either V-brakes or a disc v-brake combo. Not going for period correct, just rideable. Original elastomer stack shock though hence the boing bit. I've already re-superglued the left rear brake boss as its bonded/riveted into place and had begun to work its way loose.
It was ridden once at a past Baltic Bawbags 2012, rode no bad as I recall :D

Other reason I'm riding it is I have got rid of 50% of my bike collection to the Bike Station recycling depot and much of whats left will be sold on. So whats left has to be used. The Raleigh White Lightnin' is now my principal road riding bike fitted with slicks. The Trek 9500 will do some mtb along with the Rudge Biframe from the Pentlands run. There are a couple of other bike options but basically I'm going for sub 10 bikes as my collection had got totally out of control.
