It feels quite short compared to my Saffron (made to measure). Can't ride it now without feeling like I'm going to go over the bars all the time. Was on the cusp of med/large when I bought it. Demo'd a med and it felt fine at the time but prob should have got a large. So it's that and the fact that I'm not riding the same stuff I did before the crash. Don't really need a 160mm full sus anymore. Time to move it on.

The Mojo is a cracking bike, such a pity to get rid of. Wasn't Ibis along with Santa Cruz still building bikes with comparatively short top tubes? Went against the fashion but was always reported as working very well. I take it you wouldn't fancy a rebuild in its 140 guise as a all day bike?

Thought about it but doesn't change actual fit of the bike, which I think is part of my issues. Comparing it to a modern trail bike it's 2" shorter in reach and 3" in the wheelbase. A longer stem would solve part of this but also tip the weight balance even further forward in steep stuff. I expect at lot of it is just in my head, but that doesn't mean I'm wrong.
Funny you mention Santa Cruz. They've updated their models this year to longer bikes.

Ach well sounds like its fate is sealed. Can just be heart braking trying to sell as no one wants to spend that kinda dough on 26. I must admit I'm sold on long fronts for steep stuff, if for nothing else than the confidence it gives for exactly like what you mention.

Aye your right, its just that there seems to be a glut of tapered after market forks for sale all heavily discounted YET the magazines lead us to believe tapered is the way to go, I mean second hand tapered forks are a bit slow at selling. Just a observation really.

Are you maybe seeing OEM forks Rob? Some vendors are selling way below RRP, because they are speccing the fork one one of their builds. The knock on is that people are less inclined to buy second hand when you can get new so cheap.
