And today I did......

Great mate, found the off road route that links from loch fitty so cuts about 3 miles off my cycle to kelty from house plus no roads.

We did a wee bit of exploring but the place is huge. Not much technical but mainly hardpacked roads and shale paths. Maybe some exploring but not much to get excited about. We did ride to the top of the feature hills for biscuit brake.

Kelty riding very nicely though, the new trails are bedding in well.

Only prob is my reverb post seems to have lost air to extend it.

Day yeah no think yer askin a lot 'o' that seat post hayin your erse on it? :?

Im thinking of another project :? This bike stuff is too much like hard work and im spending too much on it :?
It really isnt going to work for me. Said this before i know but i just cant continue and seemingly getting little out of it. I hardly even ride and other than streets theres nowhere to ride. And im non driver so normal trips are out too.

Just spent in the region of 800 turning the Ti purple and im thinking :? For what :??
I think 8 years is long enough.

Like the look of this though. And im working towards a goal rather than a grind on for no reward.

So what are you thinking Andy? A do-er-upper, where you can bring your carpentry skills into play? I imagine that'd be a satisfying project, and if you've got the skills possibly a cheap route into boat ownership.

And I do hope that there will be some sailing up the west coast, through villages and towns :p

Dysentery more like

The Last Refuge of a Scoundrel ;)
I was looking Aaron, as this being the project. I have the workshop but nothing to do with it. Ive literally been house bound for the last 3 years so i need something that grabs, is all encompassing, and would even get me into the bike more as its 12 miles to it, and as u know doing that one a weekly or 3x would give you appitite, and more muscles with maybe less fat/

That was the plan but unless i can find a 2nd investor its cant happen.
Its basically the parts you need to do the inside, albeit considerably cheaper for me to make the fittings that buy them ready made but that is still going to run in to huge sums over the distance. eg a marine toilet-£300, needs 2 minimum. Then the plumbing etc for that. Grey water tanks, ability to pump out or the shower, or really a hundred other things all of which i could likely install, but couldnt or wouldnt make. Pressurised water system, heating system, builge pumps and all that goes with that.

I ran it by the family last night and theres was some visible paling

It is a shame and a bit of a loss as its made in a famous Dutch boatbuilders, by the owner of the yard, for himself on retirement and using i would think the best kit and the best guys in the yard :?
A diamond in the rough for sure. You just need to commit 5 years of your life to it, and every penny youve got.....HEY ROB..... :p
