And today I did......

happy new year lads!

first spin of the year today, got soaked going through a big puddle, hit something, but just managed to stay on to deal with a double fecking puncture back on dry land

now trying to eck out a bargain hardtail frame

Happy New Year as well mate :)
Hi mate, shame about the punctures, not good.
What sort of hardtail you looking at?

Jamie

original plan was to get a chinese carbon 650b frame and do a lightish cheapish xc racer build, but after months of mulling that over thinking it that's not a great idea for frame bags and weekend trips. so steel, alu, big wheels, likely 29er (that rules Robs part library out :p ) in a large. in a dream world a second hand / reduced Ritchey P29er or P650B, a Salsa El Mariachi or SC Highball

Jamie, just been catching up, the Pugsley looks great! can't wait to see the build

My Scandal is doing nothing, I'd be interested in selling, not as nice a frame as what your after but a really really nice bike and does exactly what your looking for. I had thought about keeping it but the Rooster is ticking most of the Scandals boxes now.

I've always thought the Scandal was a frame much better than its price. It's the lightest 29er frame I've weighed (non carbon) and it's got good handling and feel.

If it had sliding dropouts or an EBB I'd still be using it.

Evening, how large are you darling? If you're serious about selling? Thanks.

You can get some singlespeed dropouts, or at least you could. I agree with the much better frame than the price suggests, I'd say On Ones finest IMO, and I've been considering a load of permutations to keep it including a epicyclo roadster type commuter/winter bike. Unfortunately reality prevails and something needs to give.

Serious about selling and I'm 5'10. I can do frame and fork plus extras or full bike as it stands.
