And today I did......

ZZ brought the iDrive around and got the cash off me without threats

We then done my local circuit over 4 hours with loads of stops and bike carrying through mud, snow and more mud, great fun though, now knackered :D

I am now hiding from the iDrive as its big and scary

Will change stem and seat straight off, make it a wee bit comfier and slightly less all mountain.

I still can't picture it.....kinda like seeing Fred Dibner in a Gallardo

get a fox air can on that puppy makes a hoooge difference to the ride

i-drives do s/s very well ,i built one in the trees at GT once

I bought the bike but not the wheels as I have my own set but as yet have not got or fitted a cassette. Consequently not ridden it yet, earlier riding was on my Raleigh.

Cant get over how tall it is, its like an MX bike minus the engine and the seating position is too sit up and beg for me hence I'll fit a long low XC stem, some flat gnarly pedals and a wider seat(cant stand narrow seats). Also although I know its a full sus and you get some sag when you sit on it but the BB height is immense, 15"

This will be a steep learning curve for me but its about time I joined the modern world :D

And this bit added for Mikee, it already has a fox air rear shock

Rode a bike for the first time in over 3 weeks today. Still waterlogged up here after the heavy rains so decided to take the road bike out for a few hours. Feck me it's incredibly dull isn't it. At one point I almost steered under the wheels of a passing tractor to end the misery. At least I know that I can happily sell my road bike now

Spent the rest of the day trying to keep busy so I don't think about that Indy Fab Ti on eBay. My 'no more bikes' resolution is about to break methinks. It's funny that now the garage is empty I have started to notice gaps in the stable- it's easy to see how it got out of hand. OK, I don't need a dozen retro bikes but a light XC modern is a handy tool to have.

Feck, here we go again......
