I would just clean up the inside of the seat tube and then epoxy the seatpost in at the right height.

It's not as if you're going to be able to sell it now.

AND you'll save the minuscule weight of a seat clamp.

Just back in from motorcycle trip to Lake District and NE Engerland - Jeez its chilly out there - and in approx 4 weeks the nights will be fair drawing in as we head purposefully towards winter and, dare I say it, The Festive Season :shock:
