And today I did......

Had a pootle about with the fat bike and bairn, always a good idea to remind you of the joy of two wheels :D Feeling the fat bike love again I fitted a rack I'd got from Aldi's to the fat bike. Racks for fat bike seem to be fairly expensive but a tip off had shown the Aldi's one to fit, and so it did, quite nicely finished it is too.

Coincidently with all the topiary talk in the show me thread, I'd asked the wife to pick me up (in aldi's again) a hedge trimmer. My beloved cordless one was refusing to play and after a loong time procrastinating over the probable cause and trying to avoid paying for a new battery, I'd decided to opt for a corded version from Aldi's. To my delight she returned with a on special two stroke number :D . She knows me so well, stick an engine on it and I'll do anything. Now if they ever do a two stroke hoover then I'll be in chore heaven.

Tip - only use proper horticultural 2T oil in that. Something from Stihl, Husky, Oregon etc from a decent garden centre or specialiste shoppe. This will go a long way to keeping the carb clean and functional. Ordinary 2T oil from a garage/Homebase/poundland will turn the air blue eventually as you curse the booga to start :xmas-big-grin:

Mibee thats why my strimmer isnae working either then

well today i bought a mk1 ragley piglet frame  this'll be my new all rounder hopefully .

i've also been trying a set of maxxis hookworms out , by christ they don't half grip on the tarmac

Well idle hands anaw that.....saw a Marin Indian Fire Trail frame on ebay, it had stayed cheap all day and I'd been jogging my memory of the bike. BITD if I hadn't bought my dale then the IFT was second choice, it was very close but the delta v frame won out. So seeing this and having itchy fingers sealed the bid, quite happy as I got it pretty cheap too, Marin just seem to lack that retro factor, still I'm fairly chuffed. With a gazillion other things to do this is unlikely to be quick but you never know.
