AMP Research research

Does anyone have much experience with the AMP rear disc rotor mount flange that bolts up to Shimano rear hubs? I'm thinking of upgrading the rear hub to 95x XTR, but I'm not sure if the hub flanges are identical.

Sorry, not really my field though i did see this the other day.
Any use to you for this ?

Re:

AMP didn't offer XTR on a bike until 1997, prior to that the top bikes were XT.

XT was the parallax design, 95 XTR was the M910 style which looks very similar to the XT Parallax hub, from 96 XTR was the M950 design which will take the AMP disc adapter.

The adapter has an inside diameter of 53.975mm where the hub flange sits, so if the hub you have is smaller than this size it should be OK.

AMP also used to supply thin washers to get the caliper to disc position right.

Awesome, thanks for the information. Now all I need to do is find an XTR rear hub to test fit them.

In my quest to obtain an AMP F4 BLT fork, I bought a frameset that had the fork as a package deal. So now I am breaking up the package - I am asking US$200 for the frame plus shipping from the US.

Medium size AMP Research B4 in ball burnished finish, should polish up nicely.
No cracks, gouges or dents. Decals mostly in good shape with minor nicks in clear coat.
Based on the bottom bracket serial number, probably a 1997. Weighs 5.5lbs with a headset and bottom bracket.
Headset is a Tange and BB is *probably* a Shimano XT UN-72.
Rear shock is missing one bushing from the eyelet which I can supply in June 2015, after I replace my B5 shock with a Risse.

What do we know about Griffen? Came across this on eBay today but I haven't been able to find much about them.

A shipping mishap meant I lost some of the parts from my B5 build. Most of it is replaceable, but I need a pair of front and rear AMP calipers. Let me know if you have a set kicking around in your toolbox.

Its a B5 rear end, this is a parallelogram design as opposed to the B4's Mac strut.

I'm having a helluva time trying to get some of those heavier red springs.... any chance you could have more made?
