AMP F3 fork

What did you use for the plastic washers ? All I can find is 0.030" plastic shim stock , does that sound right , or must I turn up each washer ?

My washers were in good condition so didnt reed replaced, and for all they do really anything will suffice

Whats that thickness in millimeters. might have more luck looking at metric.

This is the 30th of december answer to my mail to AMP-Research asking for disponibility of fork reparation kits :
"Go to ampbikeparts@gmail.com. All parts were sold off when we were recently purchased by Lund International."

Still no answer.....

If someone could precisly mesure all parts (diameters, thickness, matiere, ...) in order for everyone to find these parts on local dealers ...

My english is not very good (sorry, I am french) : could someone call AMP in Tustin to verify if they can provide the kits in the future because it seems they don't answer to e-mails.. ?

Been looking on the NET and phoned a suppler and plastic shim is only made up to 0.030" or 0.762mm it's not made in metric , so the only option is to turn them up , if you are right and they are 0.80 and 0.90mm thick ,

Hi all , after some info on AMP F3 cx fork , the nylon washers part number 9 , the question is , is it just a plain washer or does it have a rubber insert in it ? Also the aluminium dome screws were to get hold of these ? apart from that happy Xmas :xmas-cool:

Part 9 is a nylon washer. It does have an o-ring in it but, there are exceptions depending on where it's used.
Edit; FYI, There are 3 different sizes of nylon washers used on Amps.
Plenty of spares available for Amp forks (F2, F3, F4), Shocks and D1 brakes. I also have all the tools for rebuilding the shocks. Pm me with your needs;

Hey Roy, I got your pm. I'll respond here as the ads are a menace to the pm system.

Yes, happy to help. What dimensions are you after?

Hi, if i was in the same State as you i would be buying quite a bit of you , but i think the post to the UK would be quite a lot ? So what i would like know is are all the plastic washers the same thickness if so what are they ? If you were to sell some parts one would be the Damper resetting tool or the dimensions ? One question , do the DU top hat bushes wear a lot ? the reason i ask this is because you cann't get English size DU top hat bushes in the UK ! To get over the 1/4" unf threads i intend to remake the shafts in Silver steel , drill and tap M6 with M6 domed screws (stainless steel ) , to have all those spares , were you an AMP mechanic ? or just a fan ? if postage is to bad i my think again . Many thanks for you time and trouble .

Trail-head can you provide us the mesures or the tool needed to operate on the shock absorber, please ?

Hi , thanks for the link , must of missed the part of the site as i only looked at the fork manual ! any prices on postage to the UK for say a set of alu screws ( total coast ) thanks for the help .
