1) NOS SHIMANO XTR FC-M952 - 172,5mm - 4-arm
minimal shop-war, unused. Comes w/o fixing bolts.
Super rare length! - 199€

2) used AC crankset, forged in USA. Length: 175mm - 45€

3) NOS/MINT Ultimate Machine Titanium bottom bracket. Super
long! 127.5mm spindle. red anodised cups. All CNC!
Was fitted only once, never ridden - 85€ SOLD PP


4) used SHIMANO DURA-ACE BB-7703 with 118.5mm axis. The other
M950/952 only come in 112.5mm and 116mm. This is also a bit
longer Super smooth bearings, spin like new .. - 59€

5) NOS MRP Chain Guide. NOS bike take-off. For 48T chainrings I guess,
but you might fit smaller ones - 99€

6) NOS SHIMANO XTR M900 SG-X chainring. NOS bike take-off. Some
signs of "use". 48T, 5-arm 110BCD - 39€

7) NOS SHIMANO XTR DH chainring, 48T with mounting bolts (SHIMANO
alloy) - 79€

NOS SHIMANO XTR 4-arm spider (for DH chainring for example) - 49€

9) NOS *unknown brand* CNC'd brake booster for forks

Why do keep listing items as nos with minimal shop wear , nos with minimal signs of use, nos only fitted once, when its blatantly not true. Nos means "new old stock" as in new items that have never ever been fitted or used even once. Once an item has been fitted it is used & the term "mint condition" should be used, unless that isn't true either.
Rant over.
P.s. the booster is for early Marzocchi XC forks.

where used of fitted it is stated. only fitting does not make it "used",
only fitted. NOS with shop-wear is normal. Thanks for the hint on the
brake booster though

New old stock refers to,

Items purchased but never used and still in their original packaging. Also called new unused stock or surplus stock.

If you do not believe, me look it up.

NOS means new old stock, that is correct. But it can have
shop-wear or does not necessarily have to be in perfect
condition. It also can be a NOS bike take-off.

"boxed" or "in packaging" is always mint, unused, new. Completely without
any imperfections and often with manuals or installation guides.

The Xtr crank has had the spider swapped at some point as can be seen by the toolmarks on the spider retaining ring.
The 4 bolt spider has been fitted at some point.
The 5 bolt chain ring has been fitted with the MRP chain guide at some point.

So all in all what you're saying is, parts that have been fitted, swapped about & changed back again = nos.

No that is not true.

I got the cranks from Switzerland, they were stated as NOS.
I checked the retaining ring since I was unsure too, but it has
the stock chainrings.

The 4-arm spider came together with the chainring, I bought
it as NOS, never used it or put it on any bike.

The SG-X chainring was on a NOS DH bike along with the
MRP chainguide. After disassembly it was never put on a
bike again.

What I am saying is: NOS bike take-off: NOS. If you take a
NOS party and put it on a bike several times but don't ride it
it is still NOS (since unused), but shows signs of installation.

I agree with Jacques.. If it's nos then it has never been fitted and is still with its original packaging.. I feel nos is thrown around a bit too freely around here.. A lot of it is just mint..

I really don't want to fool anyone, I always try to make
the description as accurate as possible. I also always try
to help people if they have any questions or need other
help. There has never been a problem in the past an people
trust my parts and my description.

I am sorry if anyone got upset. Just trying to do my job
properly..

Well, I share Yidaki's opinion.

NOS means NEW OLD STOCK = not used. It doesn't say anything about (storage) marks or if it has been mounted right? So it can have storage marks and it could be mounted in the past. It has nothing to do with packaging eg, otherwise it should be NIB (NEW IN BOX). If something looks perfect it is mint or pristine.

But that is just the way I look at it :roll: !
