Aende 531c MORE PICS & INFO!

Nearly didn't recognise this, did you get it from Kevin (66ich Fixed) in Sheffield?

Lovely frame this, looks very different without a rack and guards.

Hey, yes, I'm just in the process of putting some more pics on here. Yes this is Kevin's old frameset. How is he getting on with his new Pennine?

Missing the Aende I believe :?

Think the Pennine is a bit large for him, but we will see how he gets on.

Nevertheless there is always a solution, but unfortunately that solution often means a bank account hit

as promised some better pics. I do hope someone buys me a new camera for Christmas...

Ah he's a good old boy, it was a pleasure to meet him, such a kind and interesting character. I hope he finds a solution for his Pennine.

some more pics of the Aende...

It's a 1985 Reynolds 513 competition frameset handbuilt in Nottingham by the maestro Pongo Braithwaite.

It has for the large part Shimano 600 ex group from 1988 with the exeptions being Cinelli 1a stem and Giro d' Italia bars, a Campy chorus headset and Campy copy seatpost.
Saddle is a Brooks Pro, Rims are Mavic module 2's laced to 600 ex hubs with a 6 speed uniglide cassette.

The frame was resprayed 2 and a half years ago by the previous and original owner (see previous posts) and it just looks great, especially in the sunshine. I love that metallic blue and white scheme.

There is room as you see for mudguards and a rack and maybe if I decide to do some touring on the Aende I will fit some, along with fatter tyres and
wider gears. For now tho it's built for fun
:)

All the best,

Spibbs.

Class :)

It's why he called his company Aende Precision Frames.......all the ones I have seen (admitedly 30 odd years ago) were certainly well presented :)

Note to self......add "Aende" to the search terms when looking for a Raleigh Professional frame :D|

I'd be tempted to buy an Aende, just 'cos of the builder's name.

I believe that he had some involvement with Paramount frames . . . I'm interested in getting one of those, too !

The Missus might not be too pleased if I get yet another frame :D , though
