Not really, I mixed, matched and painted the magura so lever and caliper are all black (except for the red lever adjustment knob), and bought just a basic Shimano disc brake (alivio ir similar I think), as the lever shape and size is very similar to the magura, so they look and feel almost the same
Thanks - inspirational and if it turns out my rear triangle hasn’t any mounts I’ll be sure to copy you (if you don’t mind) and have you any pics pls?

Re:

Thanks !!! Look forward to seeing them

Re:

I use the cheaper A2Z attachment on the rear of my`97 Kona King Kikapu(very similar to your frame) and can run any modern disc set up.I recently got an XT caliper and dual control shifter/lever for £20 and its spot on.

Re:

Just to add to what Dyna-it has said, with the hope torque arm system you will also need a hope xc or bulb rear hub that has the correct “short” axle that goes with the torque arm system. Also as Dyna-to has said the hub needs to be the 5bolt version with the removable spider. The 6 bolt hubs will fit but it’s a pain in the ass to fit/remove the wheel, I know this as I have tried.

I had a look at the frame - very similar
I’ll have a look at mine shortly when I pop into the garage
Thanks for this - any pics? Would love to see

Seems like a royal pain
I reckon I’ll stick with Magura disc front and HS33 rear if it turns out (as I suspect) that there are no mounts at the rear - but this thread is invaluable help to others like me unfamiliar with discs - should be a sticky!
