It all started with great promise...and then got pushed to one side. A career change later and it gets another look in.
Now where were we?
Oh yes.
Overall I've not done anything extraordinary, more ordinary but reliable. Essentially XT 737/8/9 with an XTR m952 rear derailleur. I haven't yet plucked up the courage to add the main decals but the rest is nearly there.
I dallied with an XT m739 spiderless chainset for a while as I like the look of them, although many people don't. This fell by the wayside as something niggled me to try the 5 arm which I've settled on.

The cockpit is a Bontrager Titec Ti handlebar attached to an FRM World Cup Ti stem. Although it's a bit misleading as the only thing ti about the stem are the bolts. It's quite a few years later than the rest of the bike, but it's a good looking stem and came at the right price. Avid Mag levers, XT m739 shifters - the ones without the position indicators. Never understood the point of 90's vague gear indicators anyway. Ritchey grips and X-lite ti bar end plugs.

The brakes are predictable if you're familiar with any of my other bikes - Avid Arch Rival.
The wheels are a lovely set I got from Marcin
@dresdladiory quite a while ago. They belong on a 96 Rocky Mountain Blizzard really, but hey who cares they look great. Wheeltech built: M737 and 8 Parallax hubs, Ritchey Rock rims and DT spokes. They are so nice it seems a shame to use them. The tyres are Ritchey Z Max Evo Comp - or as I know them black wall Megabites.
So it just needs cabling up with the Ice Grey Jagwire Pro kit and the decals adding. With a bit of luck I might get it finished soon...
