I just cleaned and regreased the pedals on this bike and now that they are off, I figured that'd be a good opportunity to try out the new cranks I got for it. They were reasonably priced and 180mm long.
The current Ritchey Logics are only 177.5mm.
I haven't used many 180mm cranks so far, only one set, and they were sold quite some time ago.
I will probably not feel any difference in terms of length, but q-factor and stiffness might be noticable. And maybe the weight. I'll get my scales.
Had a spare 44t chainring for these cranks, so I decided to cut it apart to have 'proper' ends for the spider.
I might need to trim them a bit more, but I'm happy with them so far.
