GT Timberline smoked blue 91, very nice it was but even better when modded to xc500 forks which stopped my watch digging holes in my wrist from the bumps

1993, Cannondale M1000. Well, that was the first proper MTB. I had a Raleigh Lizard ATB before that. It was surprisingly capable offroad (anything with knobbly tyres is) but it weighed a ton and the unsealed bearings constantly needed overhaul.
