I have for sale a pair of U.S.E seatposts, one has dark blue fittings the other gold. Both good condition, some small marks to the anodised parts but fully functioning. The gold one used to be all gold but was polished 3/4 of the way up due to wear and tear. Blue one is 310 mm length and the gold one is 350mm. Looking for £35 plus postage on the blue one and £40 plus postage for the gold. Happy to take offers and combine postage if you wanted the pair. Liquid Drain-O found in the USA works. WINK rust remover works. Really aggressive oven cleaner works. Generally must be made of around 2% concentration Hydroflouric Acid to be worth a damn. Or remove mechanically.

What's mechanically removal mean (sorry for hijacking your sale, free bumps)
I have a blue anodised USE and none of those brands are available here.
I'm sure we have something similar though.

With a dremel tool and a fine rotary wire brush or elbow grease and fine steel wool, maybe "00" fine. Anodizing layers are only a few microns. Though Paul parts are anodized like a m-f'er and is really embeded on the surface.
