199X Kona Kilauea - A Few Questions

Anything would work as long as the outer cable can sit up against it, ideally held by it, and the inner cable can pass through.

I always used a continuous outer from lever to brake arm, works fine and helps keep a bit more crud out

Neat idea with the cable guide. If no Kona dog collar, would the plastic clamp you get with the led lights in the pound shop be a good enough substitute?

I think mine was from an old Cateye, but yes a pound shop special would do it. I fashioned the band a little to help it sit closer to the Top Tube / Seat tube weld.
