It is a painted black one? Even a standard red Z2 would be better in my personal opinion.

It’s certainly not the best finish on the black Z2, was like it when I acquired it).

Getting it re-done with yellow badging would not be out the equation. Have a ‘94 Explosif and P2s that will be getting resprayed…but not black and yellow.

the real answer for me is..

If its going to be a rider*.. choose the fork that functions best for YOU (whilst still looks good..)
If its going to be garage queen*.. choose the fork that looks best to YOU!

Will definitely be a rider, so has to work as well as look good.

Black x-flys would be good, but will have to be patient.
Correct that it won’t be going to blue decals, aside from the obvious reasons, I’d be forever confusing it with my ‘98 Kilauea.
