They had disc mounts from 1998, that's when I got mine.

well the serial under the bb suggests a 98, however there is different serial number on the dropout which suggests a 99 :?

The front and rear triangles were not made as matched pairs, so if your bike was sold in early 99 it could easily have been matched with a late 98 rear.

I've also heard of people having new rear triangles under warranty, so thats another way to get different years I guess.

or being a 98, could have been sold in 99 as a previous model and matched with a 99 rear. either way makes sense
