Al-onestar (great guy) has a fetish for Marzocchi Z1 and Z2 aka bombers (they were a step up from all others back in the day) and dislikes Rockshox, to be honest get the bike working and then think about the forks - new elastomers (internals) will freshen them up no end.
I can’t see a problem with that rear mech but can’t say I’ve ever owned or worked on one so will let others answer your question
Lastly that chain looks very clean / a lot newer than the cassette if it’s new then there lays your problem new chain old block is guaranteed to give you problems as they should be replaced together
by old block do you mean the cassette?
