Sold 1993 Marin Team Issue frameset

For Sale:

1993 Marin Team Issue 19” frameset; comprising frame, forks, stem, headset, and seatpost bolt. Plus Marin Lite seatpost and Marin bars, see pics on page 2.

Spec as follows;

Frame = Tange Ultimate Superlight 19” (measured centre of bottom bracket to centre of top tube), 23.5” top tube (c-c), some localised surface rust spots as is common with these frames
Forks = Rockstar 750g
Stem = Marin Lite with roller, lacquer peeling a bit, 130mm c-c, c.10-15degree rise
Headset = Marin USA, would benefit from fresh grease
Seatpost bolt = Purple anodised
Weight = 3.2kg / 7.06lb

Takes a 26.4mm dia seatpost, and has 68mm bottom bracket shell

Interesting that the seattube/post size was reduced so much between 92 and 93...

Yep the surface rust spots are so sparse and isolated on this one, you could literally work on each once individually - it'll be quite satisfying!

Crikey, how tall are you?
All Marins of this era defy their sizes so a frameset of this size might be ok.
For instance at 5'9" (ish!) I would normally ride a 17.5", but would be comfortable on a 15.5" '93 steel Marin due to the long top tube, so at 19" this one is just that much too big for me.

Ive got a 20.5" team and it fits well at 6'5". Ive got a 19" too, but its a tad too small and only works with......riser bars.....yes, im sorry....i said it!
