1993 Brodie Catalyst

Been riding this bike a lot lately. Taking the kids to kindergarten, son riding with me on the MacRide, pulling along my daughter on her own bike if necessary and then 8 or so km to work. Must have been some 70km this week so far on this bike alone.

I'm feeling pretty good about all that biking.

I'm definitely not going over those jumps, though.

Nice little chillout zone next to a train line with an excellent view (not pictured, will have to revisit).

As soon as I am able to paint it and locate some hardware. Might end up being a winter project...

Two red bikes with riser bars.

I also noticed that the front brake booster just about clears the downtube when the bars are turned 180°; by about 0.5mm. Precision engineering!

Thought this might be worth a try. The TacX pulley wheels‘ bearings we‘re not smooth anymore.



Little squeeze with the vice for the inner cage and the pulley wheels fit. +1 tooth for each pulley for added efficiency

Believe it or not that change makes a huge difference. Feels like a new drivetrain.

I'm pretty amazed that there seem to be no issues.

There's a Catalyst frame with Gatorblade and Brodie stem on Pinkbike, and it's my size, and it's local. Must resist.....
