1993 Brodie Catalyst

Great thread! Good to see you using the bike as intended and wonderful photography. You mentioned your Gatorblade steerer has writing on it - I’ve seen a few like that. Curious if this was done at Brodie before being sent to bike shops.
 
Found a DKG booster in a box a few months ago when we moved. The inserts are quite corroded. I'll clean it up and try it on the back brake. No pictures yet, though.

Fixing flats is one of those weird experiences that I always enjoy. Nobody wants a flat but finding a nice spot and setting to work, it's very rewarding when you put that final pump of air in and replace the cap. If anything it makes the trip even more of an adventure and it applies equally to any trail side maintenance issues that you successfully remedy with simple tools and experience.

Although that is an exceptionally beautiful repair bay you found there.

I felt pretty content having a spare tube and pump at hand and enjoyed the extra time I had to spend outside immensely :)
