Dekerf (Chris) left Rocky in '89 and yes they contracted him to do them. 1991 being the only ones.
are you sure he left RM in 89? he is credited as a RM welder in both the 91 and 92 catalogues.
Yea I'm sure. Find the All about RekTek thread he tells me in there.

I guess if you buy someones services he is now your welder.

I would advise against shimming up a seatpost on your Cirrus. It, plus similar Experience, Stratos and Nimbus have been known to crack at the seat clamp.

x2....I have had 3 frames (2 Experiences and 1 Cirrus) and 2 of them have been cracked because of the shim issue!

I would be into that, for sure! I just got home from a little holiday and will need a few days to sort things out first! Cheers man, E

Apologies for not updating the thread. My job takes me on stints of 65 hour weeks and then I went to Mexico for two weeks. I also spent a bit time, locally, looking for a front derailleur but no luck. I went with 1x7 in the meantime. I pulled out the neon answer taperlite bars and went with syncros bar. I found a generic 30.4 post and an old turbo and a pair of $5 xt pedals. Next week, I hope to dial in the brakes and get a chain on it. Cheers, thanks for looking!
