I keep coming back to look at this...It's such a nice build!

Thanks :) Few changes have been made. Gone are the '90s Campag Olympus rear mech, Centaur front mech and Centaur 'turret top' thumbshifters (soon to be advertised on here) together with 7 speed Shimano 13/28 cassette, in come '90s Deore DX matching front and rear mechs, and 8 speed custom 12/30 cassette and Modern Shimano 8 speed Ultegra bar end levers mounted as thumbies on shiny silver Velo Orange brackets . Pump moved to front of seat tube and the old fashioned loose ball Campag Centaur BB has been tweaked to remove the slightest of play when honking up very steep hills with loaded panniers. 130 miles of bliss since inaugural ride last Friday :D

Now can I stand the VW T5 van drivers' type Chavvy/youngster looking BLACK wheels? Probably not - way too modern, vulgar and just dull looking  So they'll be up for sale also - SP dyno front, Deore 590 rear, DT Swiss spokery and Rigida Sputnik rims. Will build the same in SILVER methinks

All in a fettler's stringent stride ;)

Oh and PS - Gone is the naff 3TTT 130mm stem with its black plastic expander bolt cover and the 'Oxford' upside down North Road bars - IN comes a 120mm Nitto stem and a pair of different upturned North Road bars with a little more forward reach and height (so stem has been lowered too

Looking forward to seeing the new version... Deore DX will look great on this bike, I think it is the silver frame that makes it for me, and the Brooks! I had thought about a Brooks for my Moonshine but the paint job is just too lairy!

Lovely, Would be torn between picking out the edges of the junctions in a different colour with a tiny paint brush. Then part of me thinks too blingy.

Re:

Latest version as of yesterday. I'm trying to learn how to ride a bike NOT on tarmac  - nothing technical or muddy - starting off with Beddgelert Forest fire roads which are only 4 miles down the road
