1990 FUCHS MTB

Just arrived today, snapped a pic or three, stay tuned for more info and pics. Going to make a start on it tomorrow. Need to have a good rake through the spare parts pile and see what have/don’t have. Hope I get the pics the right way up this time!!!

Do we know what it is as I think that was up for identification but I missed whether it was identified or not, is it a manitou?

Definitely not a Manitou, rear is all wrong and theres no factory installed cracks.

Ahh thats more definite than a serial number isn't it lol.

Is it a zaskar then....?

It’s a Fuchs, not 100% sure but I think it’s a 1990 model. No dents or cracks, looks like it’s had an easy life.

I’ve seen one before for sale but it was wayyyy out my price range. This popped up at what I think was a real bargain, so I just went for it. It’s going to be a spare parts build with whatever I have. Then over time I’ll tweak it till it’s the way I want it.

Got a good few hours at the bike today. Progress is good but I need a BB and a seat tube.

Just finished fitting all the control cables. Kind of at a standstill till I get a seat post and BB. Should be a rider then. Need to source a rear hub in the near future though. Borrowed the wheel for the rear from another bike as it’s the only 130 hub I have.
