Have you still got the original wheels, the ones on there are probably great for riding, but would be nice if you had the originals somewhere at the back of the shed.

That's a yes, a no and a kind of.

They are in the hedge 'behind the shed' at the bottom of the garden where they have been for about 20 years. :facepalm:

Sounds like a nice little fettling project for the bank holiday.....

You're so right. I thought I had a genesis for the last few years but with everybody's knowledge, especially Carl's and Pete's, turns out it's a White Spider

Must have been a custom build as it's slightly different to other White Spiders, cable guide placement, tubing, etc, so it's always hard to distinguish some of the frames...

I'll upload some pics later so you can see the differences.

Lovely stuff. The purity you get on bikes of this vintage leaves the current crop so far behind imo.
Look after it matey and don't let it go.

And you can just put a splodge of pink on any chips you get...
