Absolutely.... There's no question on value, In fact I'd goes as far as head and shoulders above pretty much anything else out there, no doubt! But ultimately I would class it as a catalogue bike that sells on spec.... However it's the frame's geometry that's heart and soul and hence why some bikes are heralded as legends and for me it's got nothing to do with the brand. I'm just saying from my own experience there were more sorted rides in the same price bracket that didn't have the bells and whistles and 'on paper' credentials such as groupset and tubing but provided more grin factor on the trail, Which surely is what a bike is about rather than anything else.... Just my tupence :D

That seems to be somewhat of an odd statement for retrobike, old fashioned? That's a bit against the grain :LOL:

Anyway, could the same theory not be applied to the newer lugless version in that it's pretty much like countless other frames being churned out of the far east at the time with a retailer simply slapping their badge on it :?
