1950(ish) HWE Rex Klunker...thing

Wonderful...faultless, love the paitna on that frame, no worrires about scabs and dings, beautiful black rims, looks perfect as an updated take on the classic Kunker vibe, the cargo bike brakes were a master touch, they work so nicley visually and I assume practically too considering what they were designed to stop. Happy Trails.

Thank you very much.
Yeah the brakes work really well. I didn't adjust them to firmly so they have a nice soft feel but they also can bite. The bearings on that front hub are amazing. The wheel almost spins forever which makes the bike roll surprisingly easy...at least downhill and on the straights.

Summer is slowly coming to an end. So here are a few more pictures of Rex, who has been a lot of fun over the last few months. It didn't matter to him whether it was the Critical Mass, a trip with his buddies or klunking along the local trails.
The surface doesn't matter either. The long wheelbase and high weight always provide sufficient traction.....and sweat.

Thing with Rex is 3hrs of biking feel like 6hrs of biking. I love it!

I am on the look out for something similar to Rex :) Have come close a couple of times, but most similar frames I have found so far are huge (for me anyway :) )

Love to see that it is a rider for you, Plus you'll really notice how light your other bikes are!! :D

This has been my favourite BOTM winner on here for some time...It'll be up for BOTY in a few months too!!

From the outset this was astounding. I would say living up to it's name .... again some +70 years on.

The builder and pilot may have some contribution though ....

:D 😍
This Rex is a bicycle that has a mutation in the fun machine gene due to mechanical external influences. As a result, the tyres have become thicker and knobbier, the bars wider, the brakes have more bite and the pedals have developed small teeth.
