Yes that’s me haha. I’ve been building for a long time and I’ve been due to kinda step it up. Hoping to achieve that with this build so I really appreciate the comment!

great basis, a nice, bulky color and a lot of hot and rare (like the cranks ) parts

Found the stem I was after, repop decal added. I had bought a rocket science flat bar but its last tracking update was the 13th grrrr real brake levers in the works

Went faster than I expected. I’ll likely polish it once or twice more.

Cockpit day. Went with black gripshift over some fancier ones I’ve got, a departure for me I usually go with funky but this things got so much polish to it I kinda feel like blacks the way to go. And I’m counting on finding another clay red ritchey zmax that’ll be the pop on the bike I reckon. The real levers are kinda franken levers the base is a gen 1 nos levers are gen 2 and the barrels are a way later real design. Polished end caps on the bars have me pretty stoked lol

Sachs Quarz for the derailleurs classing up the joint haha. Considered pro shift. Not going that route obv. There’s kooka brake levers on the way which is a development. I love real designs but kept feeling like I was cutting a corner going with em ‍♂

Lots of de-ano going on found some silvery parts that I supposed were anodized when I purchased, of course they were and that won’t really work on a bike that’s half polished. The DGK brake booster was quite the hassle. Unfortunately it did not come with the hardware which makes it pretty much a normal brake booster if I can’t find replacement. White Industry hubs. USE seatpost which wasn’t to bad bringing to polish. Decal is on the way for that. Won’t match anything but hey lol. Repop saddle is just a temp. A pretty temp though. Polished end caps I had lying around I think is a nice touch.

I use easy off brand oven cleaner, does the trick quite nicely. My first couple goes at it I was not leaving it on long enough and it seems to work better if it’s in a bottle with the top cut off or a container of sorts. Definitely need a rotary tool for polishing the nooks and cranny’s. From what I hear lye? works even better but I haven’t tried it out myself. Thank you on the build!
