Raceface Isis Signature bearing replacement question... How?

Lol, yeah I can see how you got to that point. I want far off and decided to put things in a bag and hope for directions. I've got a friend who can machine new stoppers but that seems like a lot of effort just to get a ti BB back in action. Thinking maybe drilling a few holes in the sides of...

Raceface Isis Signature bearing replacement question... How?

On the outside you have 2 crank stoppers (short AL pieces) the next is the double row bearings. Then the black center piece. In theory it's all removable. The crank stoppers won't budge. I've regreased the bearings and one is getting crunchy, hence the reason for the attempted rebuild...

Raceface Isis Signature bearing replacement question... How?

I've read everything I can find. "EASY" is what I understood, not what I'm experiencing. Any idea how to remove the bearings and outboard spacers off without destroying things?

    scored a kona score 😊

That I'm not sure, if I remember correctly there as 2 or 3 thread pitches for brake boss bolts. I'd guess from the look its the finer option in M8. But I don't have anything to test with. A Quick google search is only coming up with M8x1.25 pitch brake boss bolts. You can always go to a hardware...

Seat post size: Mine had a reducer. I hate reducers. With the reducer out it (mine) is 30mm

Kooka Kranks, safe for light XC?

I'm running a set of 2nd gen's, also have a set of topline cranks on my other bike... pavement only so I'm not concerned (that much) :) But I wouldn't run them hard or over tighten the bolts.

Are there any 26" wide 25.4 flat bars circa 94 ish

Looking for a decent mid/high end 24-26" wide 25.4 flat bars for my yeti... The 22.5 bars are just too damn narrow. If you know of any, let me know manufacturers and models of possible. Would like to keep it mid 90's vintage if possible

Caldera - what new cassettes will fit on my old XT hub?

Any Shimano mountain cassette 8-11 speed will work. Shimano road cassettes had different spacing. Which to buy? Depends, if you want original equipment 9 speed XTR M95X l, XT M97X will be standard. If you want new stuff, Shimano M8000 11 speed with a 1x or 2x would be as modern as you could...

Please help identify frame and inverted suspension fork

A good shiver is worth a pretty hefty amount. I'd do your research, make sure it's not stolen. If it comes up clean, a good shiver is worth a good amount of xtr. I just spent $400 on one and am pretty happy about it. With a bike that old there's a good chance it's been handed down, sold, given...

The end is no longer nigh: Kona Bikes

Don't poopoo their process line, those bikes rocked. Their carbon processes were pretty darn good from a few years ago. Although the Cascade link is a must to get the bike feeling dialed. Sadly I think the must have been caught be surprise by the higher then AL warranty claims and costs...

The end is no longer nigh: Kona Bikes

They knocked it out of the park with their Process & Honzo bikes, but sadly everyone caught up around 2017, it's been down hill ever since. I still have a '19 Process 153 CR & love it, but it really needed the cascade link to make it feel right for mw. Compared to the 2015 process 153 which was...

Recommend a suspension fork for 1999 Kona Explosif.

The marzocchi ETA lockout also lowers the fork 1.5" or so. ETA still allows for a little travel so things don't explode.

Recommend a suspension fork for 1999 Kona Explosif.

Around $200 was pretty realistic 2+ years ago, but things aren't selling like they used to. I wouldn't be afraid of offering 120 for a nice set if you see something come up on ebay.
