    help identifying frame

Re: Still new to the old retrobike thing. So been searching Google. Think the rgf bb shell would make it 70s maybe, campy dropouts and braze on possibly smaller frame maker. With frame number 006682 doesn't seem to fit in with any manufacturers I've tried to look up. Would it help if I...

bottom bracket size chain line retrofit

If fitting a 9 speed triple crank to old 7 speed wheel set which bottom bracket should be fitted for correct chain line? Sheldon Brown lists newer crankset bb in range approx 110-113, while older crankset bb tend to be 116-121. I've fitted a 110 length which came with lx570 but on large ring...

    peugeot pkn10 1980ish

Re: Finished stripping the frame down. I would like to return it to original so cost wise I think it'll have to be powder coated, was quoted £250 for paint and I can't justify spending that. Quite interesting reading about the quirks of a French frame. The races in the headset need replacing...

cable stuck in down tube shifter

Stripping down my peugeot pkn10 and I've come across a slight problem. The nipple for the gear cable is seized in the shifter. I've tried soaking it in penetrating fluid. Twisting the cable. Cutting cable down and knocking end to try shock it free. Read about heating and cooling several...
