    Front mech

I have a top pull Shimano Altus that is mounted on a plate that fastens at the bottom bracket axle rather than on the seat tube. I believe it will fit with a 44 tooth largest ring. Any good to you???

    Anyone know 'owt about Scunthorpe?

Flat??? You have got to be kidding !!!! the whole of Scunthorpe stands on an escarpment with a couple of large hills to the north and south. Somewhere good to live?? Avoid Riddings and the town centre area.

Thanks for that, I was intending to use it on a wheel build for a hack that I am going to sell cheap so didn't want to put anything on it with any pedigree.

    Decent hub or cheap tat??

Thanks for the info about the decals m8. Gil_m is already working on them for me. :D :D :D Incidentally its the hub, not the rim that has all this engraving and stamping on it. I remember the bike it was on when i got it, the forks were so rusted I couldn't even use them as leverage to...

Neat ways to attach rear Maguras?

http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53481 ... 286.c0.m14 Really wouldn't recommend this fitting method, I tried it and found the cable part cuts through the sleeve in a very short time.

    Worthy of Restoration ?????

I guess I must have deemed it worthy as I have tracked down the full Exage groupset now, and an Araya VP-20 rim to replace the nonoriginal on the rear wheel, just gotta get my hands on a full decal set before I strip the frame and head off to the powder coaters!!!
