Had to take an old bed to the local(ish) tip today, and saw several wheels next to the metal bin, so had a rummage and found a matching pair of Shimano Exage hubbed/Araya VP20 rimmed/Stainless spokked wheels !!
Paid £2 for them !!!!
Anyone else get any bargains recently ?

Depends on the tip/council's policy on it. Down here in Bournemouth they don't let you buy stuff (which is very wrong IMO), but a few miles away in Verwood they do, so I go there.
Normally, I see something I want, take it to the manager and ask how much.
Best to ask at your local.
