    Dyna-Tech 755Ti

Nope it was fine as a 'best bike'/'for fair weather', but the requirement to use it as a work-bike/trainer moved the target. It was a condition of me buying the last bike (carbon-fibre Ridley) that I downgraded the Dyna-Tech. With the gift of Hindsight, it would have been far better to...

    show us your cross bikes

I know Paul Milnes shop very well, as they sponsor 'Bradford Olympic' - a very 'cross orientated' Club I also (a long time ago) bought a 653 cross-bike from there, which the subsequent owner severely shortened during a 'Three Peaks Cross'

    Dyna-Tech 755Ti

I'd got approval from Joanne, so went over this morning to the 'LBS' (Kendells at Castleford) test-ride it. To my disappointment, it was sold at the beginning of the week:( It's my own fault, I should have spoken to her immediately after seeing it Still, someone got a bargain!, £250...

    Dyna-Tech 755Ti

I know  Just getting fed up of it, & I don't want to take the guards off, & receive the matching front/rear 'road-spray' stripes (sooner get another bike that's 'sorted') I did try road-racing on it back in the mid-late 90's & it wasn't much good at that. Or was that just me who...

That is extremely tasty! Why not come down & join 'us' for some Cyclo-Cross this winter?? Click on 'me' in my signature block for details of the Yorkshire races  There's one guy intermittantly showed up with one of thoe Lemonds during the '08/'09 season, & the 'summer series' We...

    Dyna-Tech 755Ti

I'm seriously considering selling it, as I've got my eye on an Aeron I've been offered, at a good price, as a 'winter-bike'. That's because I'm getting 'cheesed off' with the appalling clearances from the Salmon 'Profil' mudguards (& the constant rattling of them) - even with '20' tyres -...

Ahh, but it spent (perhaps) 7 years of that hung in the garage

    TDF Jersey Colours ?

I agree with that Nedly Geoffrey Butlers still sell a 'replica' (Lampre) rainbow jersey, & surely something like that should be sacrosanct! http://www.gbcycles.co.uk/eshop.asp?wci ... +SS+JERSEY Yes, I do realise that most of us can distinguish between the real claimant on the jersey...

    TDF Jersey Colours ?

Using the 'good old Wiki' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tour_de_Fr ... on_jerseys Click on pics to open/enlarge The national champions jerseys are based on the colours of the nations flags, as ably shown here by Helen Wyman; National Cyclo-Cross Champion (all UK National Champions...

    The ultimate Q car?

There's a T4 just on the lane from where we live, but it's maroon, not black. Curiously enough, it is a chap (who looks to be) in his mid-60's who owns it  A lad at work had a Honda V-Tec engined Mini, but that wasn't entirely subtle, the extended front wings gave it away (& the...

    The ultimate Q car?

Okay, at the moment. 1. Land Rover Defender 110 CSW. The Td5 engined derivative 2. Volvo V40. General runabout/school-run bus/dog-carrier/bike carrier/etc... 3. Jaguar XKR Goes like stink, sounds good, returns reasonable MPG for what it is, but not exactly a 'Q-Car'

    The ultimate Q car?

Re: re: In total contrast to this, I'd never buy a B*W! I once drove a X5 about 200yards  , then I was so glad to get out of it I felt dirty & wiped my feet after getting out, & hoped no-one thought I was a drug-dealer, a rapper, or even worse........ a f**tballer! Even...

    The ultimate Q car?

Re: re: We had a Fabia estate for 4 years & 30,000miles, with not a single fault After all, the mechanicals are basically 'Volkswagon Audi Group' now, & that (original) vRS engine was well proven in various Golfs/ Passats, Audis, Seats,etc..... Quality wise, everyone I've sat/been in...

    The ultimate Q car?

My old 90-V8 CSW was a bit of a 'Q-car', nobody expects a 'brick on wheels' to accelerate like it did  It scared quite a few drivers in its day  (&, ohh!, the noise!) I take he knows about 'ZCars'??? http://www.zcars.org.uk/index.htm Or the Toyota Corolla 16V? (the rear-wheel...

    Orange verses Orange

A thought crossed my mind this afternoon whilst watching 'Le Tour' (quiet apart from thinking 'poor George, missing the jersey by 5 seconds!!) There were advertising boards for Orange (mobile phone network) at the finish So, was there any 'hoo-ha'/court-cases between the telecoms...
